Brandi Carlile Rosemont Concert reviews
Terrible 3hrs of Traffic!
We received a phone call two days before the concert, advising us to arrive early due to heavy traffic. Following the suggestion, we left about 2hrs before the start of the concert. It took us almost 2hrs to go about 1 mile, with a total time in traffic of 3hrs. Making it into the venue as Styx was playing their last 2 songs, we finally reached our seats as the lights were coming on for Brandi Carlile to perform. Our once excited party of 9 turned exhausted and frustrated by the time we all got into the venue. The traffic and only seeing one act put a damper on the night. Disappointed for the amount we paid for tickets to only see one act.
It just seems there could have been a better way to get traffic flowing.
The electronic ticketing, while sounding nice, was a pain. Getting into the venue took longer due to the scanner. Transferring the tickets to each person in the party was not the best experience. Having the option to print a ticket would be preferable for larger parties.
Additionally, a couple of ladies in our group encountered an issue when leaving their seats to use the restroom. They had left their phones with their husbands, but had to show the electronic ticket to re-enter. It was challenging to communicate when they couldn't text their husbands to bring the phone or the "electronic" ticket to let them back in.
